Piranhas Edge Mambas in Final-Possession Finish

The Piranhas earned a much-needed win, holding off the Mambas in a close game that came down to the final possession. Neither team led by more than six points throughout the contest. Jahlunde Wilson-Johnston, Maxwell Lawrence III and Stasio Raynor-Weller led the way for the Piranhas, combining for 60 of the team’s 66 points. The Piranhas faster pace allowed the team to finish with 13 more shot attempts than the Mambas.

The Mambas managed to keep the game close by shooting 52% from three-point range, but a late turnover on their final possession ended their chance to force overtime. The loss drops the defending BYB League champions to 2 - 6, while the Piranhas improve to 2–6 on the season.

Cobras Stay Perfect Against Bulldogs

The final game of the evening featured a fast-paced and physical matchup between the league’s top two teams, as the unbeaten Cobras held off the second-place Bulldogs. The Bulldogs set the early tone with a 12–3 run, but the Cobras responded with poise and began to take control by halftime.

Cobras Forward Max Kimberly dominated the glass, tying the BYB League season while pulling down a career high 23 rebounds to go along with 9 points, 5 assists. In the backcourt, Troy Washington Jr and Quinton Husband combined for 35 points as the Cobras pushed their record to 8 - 0.

Combo guard Jordon Marsh, who finished with 19 points in the loss, led the Bulldogs.
