Our program at Bermuda Youth Basketball is designed to teach every player the eight essential skills needed to play basketball.

Beginning with footwork and body control these two fundamental aspects of basketball can significantly impact a player's performance on the court. Ball handling and dribbling are essential for maintaining control of the ball and making effective plays. Passing and receiving skills are crucial for teamwork and effective ball movement. Shooting skills are, of course, essential for scoring points, and rebounding is vital for gaining possession of the ball after a missed shot.

Additionally, teaching screening and offensive and defensive concepts helps players understand the strategic aspects of the game, enabling them to contribute both offensively and defensively on the court.

The emphasis on real game situations provides players with practical experience, allowing them to apply the skills they have learned in a competitive and dynamic environment. This approach not only helps enhance their physical abilities but also builds their mental basketball IQ, enabling them to make better quicker decisions during games.
